[demo] Just a question, do you feel that you have been targeted in any way (physical/verbal) because of the aftermath of 9/11? Why do you think these situations have occured? Any other thoughts around this topic?

[demo] I think I have been targeted because of my views. The day after the attacks I was talking to some people outside of my building and I mentioned that I believed that America wasn't exactly an "innocent" victim here since America has perpretrated a lot of human rights violations around the world. For a while after that I was called Taliban Lover when I would come home. I couldn't help but think: so much for my freedom of speech.

[demo] word. i mean here in the city or in my classes the people i talk to seem pretty sound minded and aware of the many levels to this whole matter, but back in queens where i live, people reacted very differently. friends that i have had my whole life, who i though were on the same page as me, had all these wacked out views- like, just kill them all! i was like what the funk? where is all that coming from? i mean it can be validated on the one hand, maybe if we were a completely innocent nation- but we're not. after the events i had to separate myself from my people in queens for a bit because we were always butting heads in the matter. [demo] I am targeted in an indirect way because of all the accusations that Muslims faced. Although verbally or physically i have never been hurt, but it hurts for me knowing that people that are my friends and family being attacked. Most of the people that I know were very concerned asking if i had any problems. There are some who are very ignorant and i guess really don't know about the religion but are very angry as am i. It was very very wrong to kill 1,000 of innocent civilians and wats even worse is using ur faith as the motive of the cause.
