I was just wondering if any you feel that Muslims in America will never believe that bin Laden or any Islamic country was responsible for 9/11. I've found Muslims on both sides of the issue personally, but I've seen many in media assuming that ALL Muslims won't believe that bin Laden or other Muslims had anything to do with the attacks or terrorism itself. There are also a lot of non-Muslims that believe this is some sort of government created event that allowed America to go into war with a poor country.
What do you all think?

This is not something out of the movies...it's not "Wag the Dog". This is a very real event with very real issues. I personally haven't seen or heard anyhting about Muslims not believing it was bin Laden. But, take this into consideration...bin Laden's own family has disowned him. In fact they are now getting ready to supply DNA in order to find him. America's war, I believe is warented. In the weeks that follwed 9-11, Bush made a statement...any country harboring terrorists are to hand them over to us, or prpare for us to attack. We attacked.

Here is an article that talks about the amount of muslims who back the U.S. It is an interesting read:

I believe that resonable people, whether followers of Islam or not, will blame Bin Laden for the attacks. I think that many American Muslims are resonable and understand this, and others around the world. I do believe however that Arabs do not believe it because they have grown up around propaganda and don't know really what is going on. Therefore they blame the US for everything.

One of my friends is Muslim and he told me that while he and his immediate family believe that bin Laden was the cause of this tragedy, he has other family members who think this is just a US plot to bomb a country. I personally have come across reading that explains how the prez's dad has interests (a.k.a money) in the area and that somehow he makes money from all of this or once all this is done...I think because of the rebuilding that will take place in the country. To me, it seems a lil far fetched that the prez would "make up a war" just so his pop could make money, but I guess to others it makes sense.
When talking about propaganda, there are some Muslims/Arabs and even "regular" Americans that believe a lot of what is being pushed by the government now is propaganda. They make it seem like our government is just doing some evil, underhanded things over there. I don't think that's necessarily the case, but I do think the government is doing some secret operations that we'll hear about twenty years from now, but that takes place in every war.

Thanks for your insight. I agree with you that many Americans also believe these far-fetched plots. However, I still believe that the propoganda against the US in the middle-east region has a huge influene of the people's thoughts of this country. Also, certainly they are doing some secret operations - it is for security purposes.

The below is sickening. I cannot believe that the government can and will do this!

That's terrible...but that's OUR government, unfortunately.
