Before I say anything else, I'd just like to say this: If I offend you....don't take it personal. I'm not going to apologise for anything I say on here...what I say are my views and how I feel and I won't censor or curve that to make anyone happy...if you don't like what I have to say you can talk to me about it or you can ignore me but I'm not going to try and make everyone happy...
With that said I was just wondering how you guys all delt with this whole thing, and what you did to get over it, because I'm finding it really hard and the people around here (oklahoma) don't really understand what I'm going through, so I can't really talk with any of them about it, but I know a lot of you are from NYC or from around that area, so I figured you'd all know better what I was going through.
Well it's kinda late...peace out

All what happend 9/11 is a real tragedy for all world, not just US. I think to fight with terrorists using their weapon is not right. If we do the same we become like they are.
V-Ditty.... I don't think there is really a solution to getting over or dealing with what happened... It basialy comes downto being able to talk to someone about what you are feeling... although it wont get rid of what you are feeling it might help to talk about it ... especially with people who are willing to listen to you and understand you views.... I know thats how i am dealing by just talking eveything out.... If you need someone to listen ... I am willing... I;m pretty good at listening and not giving you bs answers!
What justifies the taking of another life? Is even saying that you do it in God's name a sufficient excuse? When animals in the wild kill each other, its based on survival and territory. It seems as if we are the only living things on this planet that think we have a right to take life, whether ours or another's, for no reason at all. I don't just mean terrorists but us as a human race. There is no excuse for what those terrorists did on 9/11; however, what are we doing in the wake of it? It seems as if we are pointing fingers, prejudging others, and not taking the opportunity to learn from what the terrorists have done. What do we do now? When it comes down to the bare facts, the terrorists did what they did to "prove their point" that they do not agree with the United States. Does that mean that I have the right take the life of you just because, for example, I don't agree with your opinion about the world? I believe that Life is the most precious gift from God; yes, I'm a religious person, or at least I try to be one...I'm Catholic. Anyway, we must learn from 9/11 and bring it down to its simplest equation: differences does not give you the right to take another life. Guiding hatred and prejudice is fear. When you understand what you are afraid of, maybe we can all, me included, try to find a way end or at least decrease hatred in the world. I personally don't feel I have a say in how I feel about specifically happened on 9/11. I feel I don't have the right to say that I forgive them for what they have done to fellow man. But, if I did have the right, I would forgive them. What is holding a grudge going to do? Forgiveness is a gateway for peace. Forgiving is different from forgetting. Although forgiveness is the gateway to peace, one must never forget. Just as if a friend did you wrong in some way, you forgive them; however, you stay cautious in that particular area just in case it may happen again. Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to share my ideas on this fragile subject.

Thanks Soccer, I'll remember that ^.^
And Mag, I agree that taking lives needlessly is a waste and totally wrong, but even in the bible God allowed killing because it was a necessary evil. If we just keep letting terrorists beat our country and kill our people they'll keep doing it on larger and larger scales, but if we (as a nation) show them they can't get away with it they won't do it again. Yes I think it's terrible that innocent people die in this war, but we're not trying to kill innocence, they were. I think even in just that it's a major difference. I would love if everyone got along with everyone and all this killing wasn't necessary, but I think, at least on some levels, it is necessary.
