Today, April fifth, marks the anniversary of the suicide of my namemate Kurt Cobain. The Kurt Cobain has forever altered the direction of our music and our youth culture. We should all be sure to keep as much as we can of him alive. Throw the banner!

Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of Nirvana. He is famous for his suicide in 1994, and for being considered the icon of a generation. After he killed himself, Nirvana broke up. Some people say that Courtney Love killed Kurt and set it up to LOOK like a suicide. Courtney used to be married to Kurt until he killed himself.

Yes, Kurt Cobain is (or was) the lead singer of Nirvana. He lived on this Earth from February 20, 1967 to April 5, 1994...and on April 8 his body was discovered. It's important because Nirvana put alternative music on the map, man. He had blond hair in that longish layered cut, with a beard, and of course is known for wearing flannel, being a grunge band and all. If you ever see the picture, that's him. Just go to www.kurt-cobain.com and you'll see plenty pictures of him. It's just tat I had never met someone who had never heard of Kurt Cobain before, so I couldn't be sure that you were really asking me for a description (or an explanation, or whatever you wanted me to give you).
