Everything After - A 9.11 Youth Circle

Hey ya'all, I've seen a few posts around that have said you guys would like to do this debating in real time. So, I propose we set up a live chat room via AIM or Yahoo and talk about some of the issues on this board. (Hey moderaters, if you're reading this, I invite you fella's to!)

So, what do ya' all think?

I like the idea, but I don't know if I could do it. Maybe we should just with it like it is. If you do set it up just make sure we all know about it.

Sure, I'd be cool with that. The only objection I would have is if everyone couldn't do it. I'm just trying to be fair here, lol. Don't want anyone feeling left out.

sweet, I propose we all use AIM.... that's my messenger of choice... My SN on there is "godisafly." I'll be willing to start the chat room if ya' all post your SN's on here.

I propose we set it up for Sat. night so you folks with school won't have that in the way... Maybe 5 P.M. MST (7 P.M. EST) Which night would work best for the rest of ya' all? Again, moderators, I'll be willing to send you a chat invitation if you guys are interested.

Well Saturday I don't get off work until 10 P.M. EST (8 P.M. MST) and then I'm supposed to be going bowling with people from work afterwards...if my car gets fixed. I get off at 10 tonite and I'm not sure what my hours are on Sunday..probably 12-5 or something. (all EST) But I'm off during the week so...I dunno. My AIM s/n is [EDITED] and anyone who wants to IM me can...just as long as you tell me who you are. :)

Ok folks, I have been E-mailed by the moderators of this board. I completely understand where they are coming from and we need to put off the chat until this group is closed in 2 weeks. I am including their E-mail below so that ya' all understand where they are coming from. I hope they won't edit out their E-mail...

We have been watching your group -- you knew we were -- and we think
its cool you have been talking about meeting for an Instant Messenger
chat this Saturday. Thanks for the invitation! (For the record Deb and Barry, I wasn't the only one with the idea of a live chat... but, that's a technicality.)

You can do what you want but there are few things we have to tell
you as the creators of the E.A.9.11 site (get ready for a bunch of adult talk):

1) It�s kind of a drag, but anyone who is underage who posts contacting
information on the E.A.9.11 site (i.e. AIM names) make us legally
responsible. Keep in mind, only you can post but anyone out there
can read what you have to say. Unfortunately, legally, as much as
we hate that, we have to take that info down.

2) Your group closes in two weeks. We�d prefer (we�re just saying
prefer) you keep your dialogues confined to the site - as one member
pointed out not all will be able to join and someone might feel
left out. We felt that was a good point. There is a great dynamic
you have all created and we fear that one to one communication (emails,
AIMS) will change that dynamic. (for the record, I'm sure we all would be willing to open up our live chat to people on the other boards...) We LOVE that you want to AIM or
chat with each other - but if you are willing to wait until the
group closes we�d be more than happy to figure out a way to run
a chat with all who are interested.

Having said that, this is your group and it�s your call.

I think that is great lets just stay here for now and figure out how to stay in touch in two weeks alright.

i agree w/ papermonkey, i think we should wait til we have like one day left and then all give out all our sns and stuff so we can keep chatting. ;)
