These discussion boards are fantastic things! Even if we don't agree with eachother, we still stick in our views and people listen. But why is this the only place we can do this? At school folks are so close-minded and won't listen to anything. Any talk is just silly stuff, not really any substance. In our town, after a week of strange tragedies, no one wanted to talk about it - the death or the causes. All that was said was - "They're in Our hearts." Why? Why this unwillingness to discuss???

I think people don't want to take responsibility for all the things that have happened lately. If they take the time to think about, "Why? How? Now what?" they might have to end up pointing that little finger inward instead of at the "evil-doers". . . which is an understandably hard thing to do. I don't mean to sound like I'm blaming the victims (I try not to play the blame game), however, if people don't start looking at cause & effect, the cycle of violence will never end.
