I was staying with someone (Josh?) in this cabin sort of thing, and I think it was near a school . . . in my dreams, I have this bad habit of leaving my backpack in different places. In -this- dream, I had forgotten my purse. I woke up the next morning and peeked out the door of the cabin to see my purse sitting on some steps, so I ran down there (practically nude, I think) and grabbed it, almost slipping in the grass. The house was white and old-looking, too. So I ran back up the hill, and I think I got dressed in some flowy garments, and suddenly there was this girl (my daughter??) running away from, like, her grandmother. We were all witches, and we looked very "classic," what with the pointy hats and such. My [daughter] and I were running down the hill, and I think I was carrying a broom. I decided to fly because the grandmother was flying and was gaining. Of course, since I'm such an experienced witch at flying, I grabbed my [daughter], and we flew ahead rather quickly.

We landed at someone's house or something who had a little amusement ride in their backyard. I had to give up my [daughter], but not before getting on this ride. It was like a water roller coaster, but aquatic animals lived in the ride. It was supposed to be slow and for children and stuff, but we all rode it, anyway. The ride wasn't -above- the water, but partway in it, so whenever we came past a creature, they could practically crawl into our seats with us. I lifted myself up with my arms to avoid them because they seemed to be mostly water snakes of some sort. They were seriously -creepy-, but none of them made it into my chair. I thought that was also cruel because the poor animals probably wouldn't like that ride going over them constantly.

I walked over to this place with some friends where this other ride was. I think I was wearing leotards because my friend Van came over and told me to pull them up, saying they were sagging on my butt and looked stupid. He was dressed in one of his anime costumes and didn't look any better, though (heh). I was then put on the other ride with my grandmother (who turned out to be my Nana, whom I am not fond of, and this dream was very typical of her). I was with my friends, and we pretty much ganged up on her and told her all the mean things she'd done in the past. I think she just sat and moped or something, and I can't even remember what I was telling her. My dad yelled at me afterward, but everything I had said was true, and everyone knew it.

I then went inside the house after grabbing a towel (they were all white), and I dried myself off. By this time, I think I was only in a T-shirt. I stepped into the house through sliding glass doors and found out it was my friend Kasey's house. I was talking to his younger brother, who said Kasey was out of it -- passed out from too much marijuana, or something. My eyes bugged out as I realized a cockatiel was in Kasey's room, so I ran in there and got it out before it could get sick (although it was already deeply affected). I carried that cockatiel wherever I went, nursing it and trying to find clean air for it to breathe. There was a drinking fountain in a bathroom, and I set the bird on it, hoping it would want a drink. Its head got wet, and I don't recall it ever drinking any water.

I suddenly realized I was practically naked, so I ran back out, making some joke to Kasey's brother about witches forgetting something, and then I grabbed some underwear, hopping through the hallway while I pulled them on. I ran back to the bird, who seemed a little better, and scooped it up into a dining room where Kasey's family was waiting. I made some comment about him, and they called him Corey, saying that Corey was his real name. They were all sitting down for dinner, and through their dining room window was a view of the ocean. The house was now on a boat and was swaying with the waves, which I saw crashing down heavily, almost upon us. This kinda freaked me out a little, seeing as how we were surrounded by water, but when I stepped outside, I was back at the hill where the cabin was.

There was a whole group of actors: actors from school, actors from movies . . . just lots of people in this film. I had to get through because of the bird, and no one would help me because they were filming. I finally asked someone who told me where to go (some sort of van), and he had a little girl with him. I cradled the bird in my hands and made my way down the street to where this van was, but I heard some strange monster sounds behind me. I turned around, seeing the guy dressed up as a monster, and he was holding the hand of this little girl. He asked me if I could take her, too, because she didn't want to stay there, either. So I held my hand out to her, and she grabbed it, and we ran off toward the van.

Suddenly, we had a choice of which van to go into. One of them was Isis' van, which I chose. We made our way in, and Isis was Oprah. O_o;; But we had a sort of sanctuary there. Someone looked like George Clooney (it probably was) in the van, and I think we'd interrupted something they were doing.

I found myself bathing in a steamy jacuzzi sort of thing, and Josh was sitting next to me. O_o;;; We were nude. Heh. And I asked him if some blonde had flirted with him again, and he said no . . . but that all of his friends who had seen me had said I was the most beautiful. He wrapped his arm around me, and I think we kissed. We were still in Isis' van.

I think I was with two people. One of them was my friend Sheryl. *blink* We were in the backyard of my home in Southern California, the one I grew up in. It was dark, and I had some sort of large garden back there [which is funny since the backyard was all dirt and only weeds could grow] that had some sort of magical properties. We were walking along this path that I'd made when the other person disappeared. Sheryl and I were left alone in a very dark garden thing with just some moonlight to guide us. We were talking about something, perhaps how dangerous it was to be out this late in such a place. We entered the garden, although it was more like a forest, and there was a small glade. I think I had to fight off something evil there . . . I remember Sher there, but I also remember that she disappeared before we entered the garden. I was in the middle of talking when I suddenly realized that I could only hear my own footsteps . . . Sher had vanished from my side. When I turned and called out her name, looking back along the path as best as I could, there was no answer. In a panic, I rushed through the gate out of the backyard and into the house, where I was alone. I went through every room, searching for something I knew would scare the hell out of me . . . and I never found it. I ignored the computer room, choosing to check it out later, and continued through the hallway all the way back to my parents' bedroom. Over by my mom's side of the bed, in a little corner of the wall, some purses were hanging. One was all black leather with small silver studs, and I angrily began to punch it. I often have the problem in my dreams where I am weak, and this was no exception. I punched it repeatedly, and there was some sort of . . . monitor or something on it. I knew it was a drow item. X_x; So I knew the drow were responsible for everything, and it started typing to me . . . it said something like, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Laurana. My terms come with consequences . . . " -- and I stared at the purse in horror, watching little pixelized arms sway out to do a spell. I knew it would be bad, so I just woke up. And yes, it seriously called me Laurana. I'm not just substituting that for my name.

I don't think this was part of the shark dream. Anyway, I was in some maze, trying to get back to my kingdom to be with my guy. I was a princess, and he was a prince (heh). So there was some party because we were engaged and announcing it to our parents, and I was wearing some big pink gown. Some other girl was wearing a peach one like mine. He started dancing with her. Grrr. Wherever she stepped during their dance, the tiles would turn peach to match her gown. I angrily began to step on all of them, turning them pink, and I knew this was a sign that he was supposed to be with me. He was just dancing with her to demonstrate something, but my jealousy irritated him, and he started to get closer to her. I knew that this wasn't the way it was supposed to be, that I was supposed to smile and joke about it . . . but I ran off upset instead. Some people followed me . . . we were in a huge building, one that suddenly reminds me of another dream, where tons of these rooms were connected . . . also very maze-like. It was dark; the lights were flickering wildly, threatening to die any second. There were just cold, endless hallways. It was scary, and I wanted out. But it was too late . . . I'd already lost my prince.

I barely remember the details to this. All I know is that I was with some trippy bleached-blond guy (he was quite the hottie), and we were going to a senior party, or something. There was a pool, and I decided to swim, but there were sharks in it. Yes. Sharks. I came so close to them. They were freaking big. My foot draped across one's back. Scary. I was going back toward the steps (I wasn't about to go in deep with SHARKS!!!), when one of the damn sharks attacked my ankle. I felt its sharp teeth and saw it under the water ripping at my ankle. Someone came over and told me to hold still or else it would think it had something. Grr. So there I was, watching this shark gnawing my ankle, my hot guy tryin' to get me out while hoping I didn't move much. Ngh. Lots of blue and grey in the dream, besides, you know, the blood oozing from my wound.

I was staying at this family's house for some reason . . . you could tell that the family was poor. They had, like, five kids, or something. I had bonded with the girls. I remember watching everyone take off for school . . . . the parents were managing to pay for college, too. I don't know where we were, but Josh was visiting me out there.

I remember the younger girl playing Nintendo 64, and I remember sliding a window up in my room to close it (yes, you read that correctly: up to close it, like it was upside down). My room was all tan and dirty looking . . . the bed had a thin, squeaky frame and a dingy comforter.

Somehow, I pissed Josh off . . . somewhere, I told him to not leave until he'd seen me. I knew something was wrong. My friend Jacci was in the dream, too, and she was wearing my great-grandmother's costume jewelry rings as engagement rings, or something. Perhaps she was with Josh . . . I don't recall. I remember her taking them off while we were sitting on a couch, saying she didn't need them anymore if she was bored with him (whoever he was). I asked for the rings back, and she dropped them in my hand . . . and then the little girl started to give me advice about Josh.

I don't know what she told me, but I decided to go find Josh . . . so I ran outside. It was dark, and it looked like it had been raining because the streets were slick. Someone was outside, sitting on the sidewalk and singing. I knew it wasn't Josh . . . and I knew that Josh was gone.

The scene suddenly switched to me on a computer. Josh had a blog [ha ha ha] on Yahoo!, and he had said something to the effect of, "No one tells me what to do." WHAT?! So I called because I knew he was home . . . and his mother answered the phone and relayed my messages, but she was being stupid about it . . . imitating the way I was crying, and everything. I was begging to talk to him, and he refused to speak to me. He just repeated over and over that "No one tells me what to do."

I was trapped somewhere with some other people, but we all needed to be freed by one person. No one could make it without using something to fly up to a certain area, which wasn't working very well. I volunteered, saying I could fly; they offered me the flying pack, and I refused it, saying I could fly on my own. It took a little effort, but I was soon up to the area I needed to be to escape. It seemed too small for me to fit through, and some things were chasing me and exploding to kill me, but I think I made it through.

I ended up in a library of clothes or something . . . it's very difficult to explain, but that's what it was. I was with old school classmates that I haven't seen or spoken to in years. I was new there, and I'm not sure they remembered me . . . it was like they had never met me, and yet I knew every one of them. I was given the chance to drive around a cart type of vehicle that had backward movements: if I turned right, it would go left; if I turned left, it would go right. I eventually got the hang of it with my old classmates.

Suddenly, we were in peril. I think there was a huge storm or a large earthquake was about to happen. We all needed to find shelter. And suddenly, I was an Egyptian princess. I think, throughout the entire dream, I was always the Egyptian princess (and priestess, I believe) . . . it was as if a past life was reinacting something I in my current life had already done. It was still me, still the same person, but I was beautiful and elegant and regal. Nobody had known I was this princess because someone else was acting for me as I did mundane activities.

Everyone gathered into a house and hid; they were looking for shelter from Mother Nature. I had already experienced this. I knew nothing terrible was going to happen, so I went in search of the acting princess in my absence. I eventually found her, although she was really a he, and began to strip him of his clothing in front of some other people who didn't know the difference. I quietly explained the situation, taking my clothes and dressing as quickly as I could. I may have told him to find shelter from the storm.

I quickly travelled back to where my classmates were hidden, and on the way, I walked next to my gorgeous Egyptian palace that had been brought there for me. It was a pinkish-peach sort of color with fountains and lovely plants, and I recognized it as my own. I didn't see too much of it. I also was looking down at myself most of the time . . . my clothing was lovely. I was wearing a simple gown, white and sleeveless, that reached to my ankles. I also had on one of those intricately detailed necklaces/collars that cover a great deal of the chest. A robe was draped around my shoulders, and it was pleated, almost looking like wings. I adjusted myself in the clothing a bit, holding my head down because it had begun to rain, and harsh winds had started to blow.

I finally reached the house, and I had to knock on a window to be let in. The entire time, I may have had a handmaiden with me, but I'm not sure. We were let into the house, and I searched it wildly for my companions, finding them all in separate rooms and making sure they were all right. I stayed in a certain room with a few people; one of them had hid in the bed, and the others were randomly scattered, finding shelter with each other. They clung to each other and themselves desperately in fear of the impending storm. I tried to comfort them; someone was shaking the bed, and I said that it would feel almost exactly like that, and that it was nothing to be alarmed about.

We obviously made it through the storm; I don't recall experiencing most of it. Next I knew, we were in my old choir classroom at high school, and someone else was there to teach us something. He was doing some sort of mind game where we had to switch letters around, or something. I immediately sank into a dream state, which simply was for me to say, "I could eat a fox" or something similar. The man teaching us stared at me, saying no one had ever gotten it that quickly; I didn't understand it, and I especially didn't understand how I had been pushed into a dream that knew the answer.

Mark McKinney walked into the classroom. [I used to love watching "Kids in the Hall," and now he's on "Saturday Night Live."] I recognized him and waved, my fingers repeatedly folding down to my palm in one of those "baby" waves. Everyone else saluted to him like they would Hitler. Because of the difference in my wave, he noticed me; he was portraying some character who was overweight, wearing glasses, and bald who was supposed to be exercising. We exchanged a few words, me saying I knew him because of "Kids in the Hall" -- I don't remember what he said other than how my wave was little and different. I don't think he was very nice.

I was back in high school, and I had the lead in the school musical. However, we were moving (Utah is stuck in my head, so we'll say I was moving there) in the middle of the year, and I would have to drop the production. My mom didn't know I had the lead. I remember saying to someone else how, as the lead, I really didn't have much to sing. We were walking down multi-colored steps, and when I started to speak, I was walking on purple steps. It went back and forth from dark purple to light purple -- I think the last step was light purple, and it was like that for about five steps.

Maybe we pushed the moving date back so I could be in the musical; next I remember, it was a few days to the end of the year. I had to go to the library to extend the check-out on some books for a last-minute project. I had some of my own books from home in my bag, too. They were having class in the library [something they really did have to do at my high school when it became overcrowded]. I think I may have been on yearbook staff [I really was my senior year, but I dropped it for my final year of French] because I needed people's names. On the way to the library, my brother and his friend were there, and they were being total jerks. My friend Maple, in my dream, had an older sister, and her older sister worked behind the desk in the library. She asked me if I liked my brother, and I said I wouldn't like him until he liked me -- he treated me like crap. She gave me some sort of advice that I thought was pretty stupid.

I walked over into the area where the class was getting taught and sat at an empty desk temporarily. I just needed a place to put my stuff. I went back to Maple's older sister, got some list of names, and she told me some other thing was supposed to be added, too. I don't know what to call it . . . it was just paragraphs of stuff, maybe little memory things like, "You're my best friend, so let's always stay close, even when you go to France for the summer, blahblahblah." So I added that by pasting it above the names with notepad -- although I don't remember printing that out. Anyway.

I walked back over to my desk, but there were people there now. I know them, too . . . their names are Katie and Jaime. They were really good friends, but we all changed . . . Jaime and I were very close, but we got into a stupid fight and never even bothered talking again. My chair had been pushed out, and I couldn't get it back in because Jaime had her chair there. I attempted to thank someone for doing a nice thing for me by giving them a tropical-like Jolly Rancher, but the teacher yelled at me. I tried to explain how I didn't belong in his class and how I had graduated, but he didn't listen. I ended up grabbing my stuff and walking away while Katie sat with her back to Jaime . . . Katie got pretty crazy and started sitting on top of the back of the chair. I just walked away.

I was in some bookstore, but I only had $25, and the book I wanted was something like $31.25. I think I borrowed the extra money from the guy behind the desk; I was with someone who knew him. The guy behind the desk may have been Tom Green. O_o Anyway, it was a journal I've considered buying before -- something about night on one side of the cover, something about day on the other side. Half of it is upside-down if you only look through it from one side of the cover . . . it's kinda hard to explain. I don't know if I ended up with the journal or not, but I had to get a ride home. So "Tom Green" was driving me; he said he knew the way to my house, so I fell asleep in the car. When I woke up, we were lost in the middle of some dirt roads. I thought I knew where we were, but I ended up giving him directions that made it worse. We must have ended up at some private party . . . I knew the people were Russian, so I pretended to be Russian, too. I can't remember whether they fell for it or not . . .
