k, someone REALLY needs to knock me over the head & wake me up from this one. i swear it seems like a bad movie, as i watch the footage on every channel. i heard about it on the radio as soon as it happened this morning. i was on the road, falling asleep, but it sure woke me up. been watching the news since. i just feel for the folks that were in the planes, the buildings, i feel for their family & friends... my heart aches for them. i wanted to cry as i watched. i'm tellin' you, we'd better quit this sh*t w/a quickness before we destroy ourselves. where'd the freakin' humanity go?! hmmm... i'm sure things are getting sadly interesting for american muslims. & since when do we laugh so boisterously at such atrocity & needless, unprecedented loss? & by the way, as soon as someone would've told me that not only would i hijack a plane, but that i'd go down w/it, that's where i would've been OUT - see ya!

*sigh* just UTTERLY unbelievable. you just never know... we were free to go home as of 3pm today. i'm leavin' soon. been trying to get in touch w/a friend out there. & i just got off the phone w/the parents [my parents]. we've got fam' out there all over new york, newark, etc. a cousin of mine lives in manhattan & i hear that one of my aunts works right in the vicinity of [what used to be] the twin towers... we haven't heard from several of them yet... k, i'm out. hope yours are ok...

was the week.end good to you? was so-so to me. my dear margarita's b.day - that was great. & then i went to see the parents... had the first "big" earthquake in several years - magnitude 4.2. funny how some out-of-staters totally trip on earthquakes & say they'd never live in SoCal 'cause we have too many of them, but being a native, i just ride them through. i don't really stop what i'm doing unless it's that great of a tremor. i rememebr the northridge one... i just styaed in bed & rode it through like i was on a rollercoaster... until my sister spoiled my fun & ordered me outta bed & to the nearest doorway, heheheh. hmmm... either those outta-staters are trippin' or i've just become waaaay to used to these earthquakes & i take them all too lightly... yeah, their trippin'.

really, i'm only speaking for myself 'cause yes, other folks furhter into l.a. have suffered serious damage to person & property when these earthquakes have hit. just interesting to me when these things come, 'cause we don't have them everyday like some folks think. maybe that's why a lot of us aren't as prepared as we should be...

so, i'm here in my office in a sweatshirt, jeans, sneakers [no socks, mind you... among other things i am w/o], & a rag on my head. jumped outta bed & "got ready" in all of less than 5 minutes to come in early so i could start & finish up some paperwork before my boss was to walk in this morning. was sooo hard prying myself from my sheets, especially since i was not due to walk in until 20 minutes ago [been here since 9am]. anywho, got the work done, but as i went to slip it into my boss' folder, i looked up on the in/out board & saw that written next to her name was "out sick". nice - all that for nil... actually, i guess i should be glad that i got the work done regardless. funny thing too is that when i have all the time in the world, i'm sometimes slow at things, but when the pressure hits, i'm like lightning. need to balance that out a bit...

k, i'm gonna go home, take a shower, & come back to my office looking like how i would've looked had i gotten 2 more hours of sleep. bye for now... =0)
