--{prepared and forever unready}------- - -Well, let's get right to it: - My sister left yesterday for Guadalajara. (yes, I did have to look up the spelling on that one.) She will be there for 5 months on a student exchange. We get to have a little mexican live with us for 5 months next year. Chimichanga burrito salsa grande cerveza seniorita pro favor!
- Starting tommorrow my shifts begin at 3:30pm - 11. I'm still on the fence about it because of obvious pros and cons. If I were the type of person that liked going outside, I might enjoy catching some sunlight this winter... alas, you'll probably find me sleeping in everyday.
- My driver side front tire has a slow leak in it. I have to fill it with air every other day. It's such a pain in the ass. Someday I'll go get it fixed. Maybe I'll get one of those aerosol cans that you spray into the tire. lazy way out...
- Saving for Australia is really difficult. I have to learn how to make sacrafices. Stop going to movies, stop going for beers, find a new higher paying job.... and still afford rent/gas/sanity/car insurance. sigh.
- our cd is taking forever. I'm trying to book the West End for nov 16th or 17th for our cd release party.
- I beat super mario land (for the original game boy) yesterday in 40 minutes (while on a call). I rule.

--{lack of a title}------- - -Isn't it strange that Cigarettes are legal, you can buy them just about anywhere, and they're proven to kill you. Weed is Illegal, you have to go to a doctor, have a life threatening illness and then get a prescription for this "medicine", something proven to help you. I suppose I could have described that last paragraph better, but you get the jist of it

--{do you know, who's that guy, who's all alone}------- - -when I got home from work yersterday my car had smoke pouring out from under the hood. So I open it up to see where the fire is, but it was actually steam. My coolant was boiling. Now I'm not an auto mechanic but that's gotta be bad. So I take it to the local car shop (midas on henderson actually) and they determined that the problem was that my engine fan wasn't coming on, so they fixed it in 5 minutes for free. I like that. They get my future buisness. ...and you wonder why I don't update this very often. I have such interesting stories... sigh...

--{the great warped update}------- - -Well, I'm back from warped tour. The past weekend was amazing. So many stories, so many laughs.
| Friday | | Evidence |
| 8:30am | picked everyone up | Exhibit A |
| 9:00 | Went to McDonalds for breakfast. I bought 2 breakfast burritos which came to about 3 buck. So I paid with a $5. The Elderly cashier gave me $16 back in change. I thought about returning it, but then I remembered where I was. So we sat down to eat and I filled out a comment card telling them about how I was going to keep the money. Much laughter ensued. When I put the comment card into the box I was able to pull out a previous comment card. the card said "clean up your messes!" and it had the kids addrerss and phone number on it. Rob suggest that we call the kid and pretend to be McDonalds and apologize for our "Messes". I couldn't contain my self and started laughing so hard that I coughed/puked up my breakfast. You know your in for a good weekend when... |
| 11ish | Searched at the border. Happens every time. the officer even commented that "you've done this before". we know the routine. |
| 2-3ish(?) | Stopped by everyones favorite prarie chicken in rothsay for some mooning | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 5-6ish | Driving down the freeway we pass a Van that says "WarpedTour2001 or bust" on the back window. Mike R. opens the side door of our van (while going 120km/hour) and says hello using his ass cheeks. I think they liked it. |
| 7ish | Arrive at our Motel 6 and check in. Service is horrible. Have to get one of the rooms switched as A/C doesn't work |
| 8ish | Head to the mall of america. oohhh... ahhh... | Exhibit A |
| Saturday | | Evidence |
| 9am | Wake up, shower, head to warped tour |
| 10:30am-1pm | long line of cars heading into the park. we move an inch/minute, meet many americans, swelter | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 1:45pm | enter Warped tour. check out the Schedule, and ooooo... what a schedule it is! | Exhibit A |
| 1:50 | we catch the end of the Vandals set. the guitarist gets up on top of the speakers and pulls his shorts over his shoulders and dances around singing "I have a date". Hilarious. | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 2:00 | get tons of free cd's and stickers |
| 2:45 | Bodyjar plays and I am VERY HAPPY. I've wanted to see them play for about 5 years and they did not disappoint. The bass player from less than jake starts the pit. | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 3:25 | caught the end of the living ends set, Aussie punk rules (if you'd call these guys punk) | Exhibit A |
| 4-4:30 | Saw the first half of Rancids set, the last half of Fenix*tx | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 5-5:30 | Less Than Jake amazed everyone. They started a huge circle pit that went around the sound booth. | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 6-6:30 | ATARIS!!! played almost all my favorite songs, then some dude proposed to his girlfriend on stage. | Exhibit A Exhibit B |
| 7-7:30 | I skipped AFI to see Alkaline Trio who were added to the bill at the last minute. Quite a nice little surprise. | Exhibit A |
| 8-8:30 | Saw the first 3 songs of A new found glory's set. Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 came out an played a track with them. Then went to see the rest of the Me first and the Gimmee Gimmee's set. They had a walk up bar onstage and we're drinking all sorts of colorful drinks with umbrellas. Earlier in the day I bought a MFATGG flask for $15. | ExhibitA Exhibit B |
| 9:15 | Blink 182 finally hit the stage. they had these huge words saying "FUCK BLINK" on fire with al the huge mushroom type fireballs shooting off everywhere. the pyrotechnics were really cool. | Exhibit A |
| later | eventually we got back to the motel after getting through the huge line of cars once again and had a couple beers. literally! I only had 2 beers. wassup with that? |
| Sunday | | Evidence |
| 11-12 | pack up, check out |
| 12-2 | hang out at the mall s'more. I bought some wicked Vans pants and got to play dance dance revolution which i really suck at. Pete Rose was doing some baseball signings as well. | Exhibit A Exhibit B |

--{exit isn't somewhere in my heart, a promise of pain, we're back to the start}------- - -Folk festival is over and it was a blast. I'm still recovering. Saturday night was amazing. I'll try to describe it. I was sitting on drum hill. To my left was the northern lights, to my right a full moon. In front of me were people dancing with firesticks, glowsticks and shooting off fireworks all to the beat of dozens of hand drums behind me. It was perfect. Warped tour in 3 days. I need to get my money converted.
I saw Cat's & Dog's yesterday and I liked it. It was like a cartoon come to life. Final Fantasy opens tonight. I can't wait.

--{by returning this maglight, i shall increase my karma tenfold}------- - -Last night was my first shift for Folk Festival volunteering. I was assigned at Valet 2. Basically I goofed around with Mike R for 4 hours in the freezing cold. Woke up at 11:20 and realized that there's no way I'm getting to work in 10 minutes so i called in sick. I'm going back to bed.
