Today, I got my Highlands High School ID tag. It feels weird. This is my third one in 3 months. It feels very good to be done with the program...back later.

My first day of teaching at Grant High School was quite memorable. It was a cloudy day, full of ominous portents. However, everything worked out just fine. The students were very amiable, the staff terrific and quite talkative and helpful, and the district office was actually quite fast today. I must say that it has been a most tiring day. The most memorable thing was that I saw a student I had met at Rutter. It was surprising to see him there because I felt this sense of disjointedness. It was odd. I felt I had reentered Rutter, but not. That is just too hard to explain.

I had this sense of deja vu today. I went to fill up gas and in the few minutes it took for the tank to fill up, I thought about all the times I fill up gas. When the ticker stopped, I noticed that it had stopped at approximately 12 gallons. It struck me that, every time I fill up gas, it is approximately 12 gallons. Whoa. What a trip that was. Then, I suddenly thought to myself that so many other things, particularly numbers crop up every day. For me, the most recurring number is the time, 4:44. I have no idea why, but everyday, I seem to glance at the clock as it rests at 4:44 and every time, I get this eerie feeling. I try to avoid this number on the clock now, but find that I can't. I do not intentionally look at the time every day, but most days, I do notice 4:44. Does anyone else find this odd?

Thanks to my roommate Will for actually putting this blog on the server so that it actually gets published. I have no idea what I am going to do with this. I feel like I am one of those religious followers and have joined some sort of holy bandwagon. Ooh...that sounds blasphemous already. Well, if I ever come up with something truly inspirational....you'll know. But, for now...this space will be reserved for daily rants and maybe a story line or two...
Look for grand adventures to come your way (and with my writing, you will have to have a very good imagination because it will be quite bland).
