I hate my web page right about now! :) I grow tired of the new design already. Too blah. Plus I obviously haven't kept up with this journal at all. I'll try to be a bit better about it now... but my life is just not exciting enough to write here every day. The only reason I'm even doing it right now is because I should be writing a one page (?!) paper for a class tomorrow and I just can't get up the motivation to do it. I'm so glad it's Thursday -- the weekend just cannot come quickly enough! 1.3.2001
Happy New Year! I can hardly believe that it's 2001 now. This is the year of my graduation... how scary. Now I just have to find a job. :( First I'll worry about having a great last semester though. Break is going well, nice and relaxing... although I'm still trying to straighten out my schedule for the semester. I keep flip-flopping between different courses. I may write more, but nothing too eventful has gone on to talk about. I'm still not sure how I feel about this 'blog thing. I don't feel like I have anything that fascinating to write about! :) 12.19.2000
I'm done with exams! Yay! It's so exciting, except when I stop to think about how next semester might be the last time I'll ever take final exams again in my life. Not that I'll miss taking them, but it's strange to think about not being in school anymore. Especially when I have no idea what I'm going to want to do with the rest of my life! Hopefully my e-Recruiting efforts will be rewarded a bit more next semester. I'm already getting excited for next semester's classes, especially my studio art course! Now I'm off to watch the Grinch and drink hot cocoa with my friends on our last evening in 2000 together. :) 12.18.2000
Only one more exam to go! My computer science exams went better than expected today. Now all that's left is my American Realism exam. Now, here's my strange tale for the day. So, I'm at the dining hall to grab a muffin and juice in between my two exams this morning. The cashier swipes my ID card and I start to walk away when all of a sudden she's chasing after me and telling me that my card hadn't gone through. No big deal, she can just swipe it again. So it still doesn't work and she starts yelling at me, like I somehow can control the functionality of my card with my mind or something. It's like, what the hell do you want me to do lady? I have no cash, I've already eaten half of the damn muffin because you took so freaking long to make change for the 10 people in front of me. And like BC can't afford to give me a $2 muffin for free once in my life... especially after the bookstore offers me $2 to buy back a book that they're going to turn around and sell to some poor schmuck for $30. Aaahhhh! Finally a really wonderful person behind me in line just paid for the muffin for me on her card so I could get out of the citizen's arrest I'd been placed under. Now I'm off to try to eat again... hopefully I won't get thrown in prison... 12.16.2000
Is it bad when your professor posts a copy of an old final on his website and you look at it and you're not sure if you could do a single one of the problems on the exam? Uh oh. :) I'm probably overreacting... but I'm so nervous about what my grade in this class will be. Maybe I should have just stuck with poli sci after all. The thing is, this computer programming hardware stuff isn't what I want to do... I want to do web design and such. I just thought a comp sci minor would make me look more credible in the job market. Instead of posting news to my front page every day I'm going to give this a shot instead. I'm using blogger.com to create this journal page. It's pretty neat because I can post to this page whenever I want from wherever I want. I don't need to use FTP to get the page up to the server, so I can post from work or a friend's computer. I don't know how much I'll get into using it, but I'm going to try to keep it up-to-date. For now I'm going to go and enjoy the rest of my Friday night. :) |
